Simple, drug-free comfort support throughout labour.
TENS can be used from early labour and continued as labour progresses, whether you're staying at home or moving into hospital.

How it works
1. Choose Your Option:
Hire a birth pool, buy your own Eden Birth Pool, or request TENS hire.
2. Complete the form:
Fill in the relevant form with your details. Pool hire and purchases are paid for when you order. For TENS hire, we'll confirm availability first.
3. Delivery or Collection:
Birth pools are delivered directly to your home. TENS machines are collected locally from The Midwives Circle in Kettering.
4. We'll keep you updated:
For birth pools, you'll receive delivery information by email, along with everything you need to know. For TENS hire, we'll arrange collection with you directly.
5. Returns:
Pool hire return instructions will be emailed to you. TENS machines are returned to The Midwives Circle after your hire period.
When should I arrange my birth pool hire?
Birth pool hire usually begins from around 37 weeks of pregnancy. We recommend booking before this point to help ensure availability when you need it.
What size are the birth pools?
Our hire pool and Eden Birth Pool have different dimensions.
Hire pool: 152cm x 130cm x 71cm
Eden Birth Pool: 165cm x 140cm x 71cm
We recommend checking your chosen pool will fit comfortably in your intended birth space before ordering.
What happens if I hire a birth pool but don't use it?
Your hire fee still applies if you don't use your pool. Your pool has been reserved and supplied specifically for your hire period, so we're unable to offer a refund if your birth plans change or the pool isn't used.
What is included with birth pool hire?
Everything you need for a Pool Birth at home. We recommend checking your hose connections before the big day, just to make sure they fit.
What is included with birth pool hire?
Your pool will be delivered directly to your home. Once your order has been processed, you'll receive information by email about delivery and, for hired pools, how to return it afterwards.
When should I book my TENS machine?
Hire is from 37 weeks but we recommend requesting your TENS in advance as we have a limited number available. We'll confirm availability by email before taking payment.
Where do I collect and return my TENS machine?
TENS hire is collection and return only from The Midwives Circle & Wellness Centre in Kettering. We'll arrange the collection details with you once your hire is confirmed.
What happens to my TENS deposit?
The £45 hire price includes a £20 refundable deposit. The £20 will be returned once the TENS machine is returned to us.
