Birth may be over, but your need for care doesn’t suddenly stop.
Whether you’re in the early days with your baby or coming back to your own recovery months or even years later, there is still space for you here.
From nurturing therapies and Caesarean scar therapy to personalised postnatal support, our services are designed to care for you as a whole person, not just focus on how well you’ve physically recovered.
Because after birth, you deserve to feel supported too.

This unique treatment is a top-to-toe massage whilst relaxing on the gentle support of a warm water mattress. Perfect for any type of birth and stage of postnatal period. Massage whilst laying on your back means no pressure on a caesarean scar or sensitive breasts as well as no awkward turning half way through.
If you are aching, struggling to relax or feel you need a physical and emotional reset then this could be the option for you. Your baby is welcome to join you in treatment or be with a family member in our hub

Our post birth treatments can include one or blended therapies to support you with your recovery, rest and relaxation. Following a full consultation we design your session around your needs including:
Anxiety
Haemorrhoids
Insomnia
Milk Supply
Pain
Sciatica
Stress
Swelling and more...

Your scar is more than what you can see on the surface. Whether your Caesarean was recent or years ago, scar therapy takes a gentle, hands-on approach to the scar and the tissues around and beneath it.
Following a personalised assessment, treatment is tailored to your body, your recovery and what you’d like to achieve. Suitable once your skin has healed, there are no signs of infection and you have no current complications.

They’re only this little for such a short time. Capture those tiny fingers, toes and little details with a beautiful 3D cast of your baby’s hands or feet, creating something you can keep long after they’ve grown.
A special way to remember just how small they once were.

Lucy from Gaia Family Chiropractic offers gentle, individualised chiropractic care for mothers and babies at The Midwives Circle.
Whether you’re looking for support for your own body after pregnancy and birth, or care for your baby, Lucy will take time to understand your individual needs and tailor her approach to you.
We’re exploring new baby groups and classes at The Midwives Circle, giving you more opportunities to get out, meet other parents and enjoy time with your baby.
Nothing is confirmed just yet, but if you’d like to hear about new groups as they’re introduced, register your interest below.
When you can come for treatments will depend on the treatment you choose and your individual recovery. You’ll find guidance within each treatment description to help you know when it may be suitable to book. We’ll also check that the treatment is appropriate for you before we begin.
Absolutely. Babies are always welcome at The Circle, and we don’t want childcare to be a barrier to you booking an appointment.
Some post-birth therapies can even be enjoyed with your baby if that feels right for you. For treatments such as Caesarean scar therapy, you’ll need to stay in certain positions during assessment and treatment, so you may find it easier to bring someone who can help with your baby. But if that isn’t possible, please still bring them. We’ll work around you and your baby as much as we can.
Your scar needs to have healed sufficiently before hands-on scar treatment can begin. We’ll consider your individual healing and recovery before treatment and let you know if it isn’t yet the right time.
You can find our full inclusion criteria on our Caesarean Scar Therapy page if you’d like to explore whether treatment may be suitable for you.
Sometimes you may not be sure what you need. Whether you’re looking for rest and relaxation, support with your recovery or have something specific you’d like to address, get in touch and we can help guide you towards the most appropriate option.
Baby casting can be from 2 weeks post birth, there isn’t one perfect time. Many parents choose to have casts created while their baby is still very little to capture those tiny fingers, toes and details before they grow. You’ll find more information about the casting process and suitable ages within the service description.
